An Award for Pivoting? I Don’t Believe it!

“I don’t believe it” 

I must have sounded like Victor Meldrew from the BBC Sitcom One Foot in the Grave when I heard the news.  How could I have won another award when the chips were down because of COVID-19?

It just goes to show there are silver linings during dark times.

I’m humbled to have been awarded the badge for one of the “Most Adaptive Small Businesses of 2020” by Intuit QuickBooks.

It’s all about how I went from “Arrhhhh, help” with ZERO gigs in March 2020 (when ALL my public speaking events were cancelled all over the world), to my 100% online business helping clients present & pitch in this WFH-remote world!

At the beginning of the pandemic, I certainly didn't expect this outcome.

Everything looked doom and gloom before the power of ZOOM!

Speakers, like me, took a heavy beating with the overnight collapse of the event industry.

Yet, here we are...

Not only did I manage to get my business back on track but, by a lot of hard work, pivoting and re-planning I managed to grow and expand.

How? I forced myself to embrace virtual meetings and events. It wasn’t easy. I wasn’t 100% comfortable in front of the camera! I really had to stretch my comfort zone to the max.

Before, I helped senior leaders to be more charismatic during boardroom meetings. Today, I help them to make an impact on Zoom & TEAMS.

Last year, I spoke at big conferences, LIVE and on stage, this year thousands enjoy my speeches and masterclasses live and on-screen!

2020’s been a long year; some failures, some successes, and lots of trial and error. ….and wow, I‘ve learnt a lot.
